The Port of Inverness is looking to recruit one Trustee from 1st February, 2025. The Port’s profile has grown considerably and is an integral member of the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport. As well as handling a wide range of cargos, the Port is also one of the main focal points for the renewable energy industry in the Highlands.

We will be looking for someone who can help shape and direct the Port’s vision.’
The appointee should have a maritime background, which should include seagoing experience whether in a coastal or foreign going capacity. A knowledge of the ports and the shipping industries being advantageous. The ability to think strategically as well as contributing at board level are essential.
Appointments are part-time, normally two days per month with a minimum of six Board meetings per annum. Induction and training will be available to the appointed individual.
