‘The Port of Inverness are undertaking a pre-application consultation event for the proposed remedial works to Shore Street Quay. The Port of Inverness wish to make structural repairs to a small section of their facilities at the Shore Street Quay. The quay, whilst not in current use, has fallen into a state of disrepair and has become structurally unstable. In order to stabilise the structures, which are at risk of collapsing into the River Ness, the Port have proposed that:
• A fibre concrete face be applied to the pile wall of the quay to prevent further corrosion and damage; and
• The installation of a rock armour bund above the original level of the quay’s foundations using crushed rock.
We would like to invite you to a public exhibition taking place at: The Victorian Market, Academy Street, Inverness IV1 1JN, on the 30th of October 2019 between 3:30pm and 6:30pm to find out more about the proposal. If you were unable to attend the event, please find details of the project here http://www.affriclimited.co.uk/News/Consultations.php .
