Cruise ship Le Champlain returned to Port of Inverness on Tuesday 14th May following her maiden call on the previous Sunday. Again, the passengers enjoyed glorious weather for their various shore excursions. The ship arrived from Rosyth at just before midday and departed in the early evening for Lerwick. Commenting, Port Chief Executive Sinclair Browne said, “We are delighted that both visits went smoothly and clearly demonstrates the Port of Inverness’s capabilities of being able to handle cruise ships of this size. Thanks to everyone from tour operators, port staff and ship’s agent, GAC, for making the visit so memorable.” The picture shows one of Le Champlain’s tenders alongside ready to transfer passengers back to the ship.
