First Convoy Leaves Port of Inverness

14th May 2018

Last week the first convoy of wind turbine machinery left the Port of Inverness, bound for the Dorenell Wind Farm in Moray.  The convoy comprised three complete tower sections.  Commenting on this first movement, Port CEO Sinclair Browne said, ” This is the start of a very busy summer for us in relation to renewables.  We have the machinery for both this one and the Tom Nan Clach Wind Farm out toward Cawdor as well.  This is likely to be one of our businest seasons for renewables and we are delighted that both developer and haulier recognise the excellent facilities we have here at Inverness. “

The Dorenell Wind Farm is situated on the Glenfiddich Estate, approximately 8 km south-west of Dufftown and the route heads out from the port along the A96.
