Chemical Tanker Visits Inverness

23rd December 2015

The specialised chemical tanker Haugfjord arrived in Inverness this week to unload 500 tonne of dead salmon from fish farms in Shetland.  The cargo was pumped ashore for storage in secure tanks at the port for further onward transportation.  Following discharge the 45m Norwegian registered vessel departed for Stornoway.
Sinclair Browne, Port Chief Executive commented, “This is the first time the vessel has visited Inverness and we hope to welcome her back very soon with further cargoes.”
