Notice to Mariners No. 3 of 2013
Inverness Firth Chart 1078 Kilmuir Bay
A small research raft has been anchored in Kilmuir bay at the following position;
The raft is white/yellow in colour and displays a 2 mile all round white light.
The raft will remain in postion until early July 2013.
All Mariners are requested to give the above structure a wide berth.

INVERNESS FIRTH – SAILING REGATTA 2013
Chart 1078 Inverness Firth
Chart 1077 Approaches to Cromarty Firth & Inverness Firth
Mariners are advised that the following sailing regattas are scheduled to take place on the Inverness Firth and the Approaches to the Inverness Firth during 2013
|20 July||Cruiser Regatta||Chanonry S.C.|
|3 & 4 August||Dinghy Regatta||Chanonry S.C.|
|14 September||Black Isle Challenge Cup Cruiser Regatta||Chanonry S.C.|
On the 3 & 4 August the sailing area will be confined to Chart 1078 and the start line will begin near
57°34.0‘ North, 004°07.0’ West
On the 20 July & 14 September the sailing area will extend to an area covered by both charts 1078 and 1077 and the start line will begin near
57°34.5‘ North, 004°07.8’ West
On these dates Mariners are advised that a large number of yachts or dinghies are likely to be encountered during daylight hours within the charted areas indicated above. Mariners are advised to proceed with caution.

Race management on the day would be using VHF Ch 16 as a calling frequency with probably 09 (ship to ship) for more detailed comms if required.
