Port Visit for Former Foresters

16th May 2018

The Port of Inverness welcomed 14 members of the Forestry Commission Retirement Association for a tour of the port.  The retired foresters were interested to learn about port activities with particular regard to timber products being shipped through the port.  Following the talk in the Port Boardroom and general discussion, the retired visitors were taken out onto the Longman Quay to be shown the operational aspects of the port.

Commenting on the visit, Port CEO Sinclair Browne said, “We were delighted to host this visit and it was interesting that many of the visitors had dealing with the port before retirement.”
