New Deputy Harbour Master Appointed at Port of Inverness

13th July 2015

The Port of Inverness is delighted to announce the appointment of Gordon Mackenzie as Deputy Harbour Master.  Originally from the Black Isle, Gordon started as a deck cadet with Denholm Ship Management in 1978 before coming ashore in 1984.  He then moved to Scrabster Harbour where in 2006 he was appointed Harbour Master/Pilot.

Commenting on his appointment, Sinclair Browne CEO at the port says, “We are delighted to have Gordon joining us.  He brings a wealth of experience to the position and I am certain that he will further strengthen our team.”

Gordon, pictured on the right with Captain Ken Maclean Harbour Master, was keen to move back to Inverness/Black Isle area and is very much looking forward to working at Inverness.  He is married to Lyndsay and has two grown up children – Craig (26) and Terri (24).
