First Cruise Ship of the Season

17th June 2013

The Port of Inverness welcomed its first cruise vessel of the season last week.  The Serenissima arrived from Fair Isle on a cruise round Scotland.  Operated by Noble Caledonia, the 87m vessel was built in 1960 and was substantially upgraded last year.
She now offers high quality accommodation for up to 107 passengers.  Commenting on the visit, Port Chief Executive Sinclair Browne said, “We are delighted to welcome the Serenissima on her first visit to Inverness and which benefits considerably the city and local economy.  We hope to attract more cruise ship visits in the future.” She left the port on Thursday afternoon bound for Aberdeen
