As part of the on-going programme to continually improve facilities plans are currently being reviewed as regards the Port's landholdings.

At the Upper Harbour, around Shore Street and Cromwell Road the longer term plan is to consider bringing back these areas into operational use.

On land around the marina, known as Harbour Gait, a site extending to approximately 0.75 Hectares (1.85 Acres) is available for immediate development.  This prominently situated site has unrivalled views up and down the firth and offers a significant opportunity for development to accommodate a variety of differing uses.  Further details on this exciting opportunity can be obtained by clicking the link below.

Further out from this site to and just beyond the Kessock Bridge, Inverness Harbour Trust owns the foreshore and are currently considering development options where the proposals could include an expansion of the Port's commercial activities as well as hotel, leisure and retail development.  These plans are at an embryonic stage.
